Mexico City has the best planetarium in Latin America! Virtual tour

The art of learning to contemplate the sky ... For five decades, in the north of the city, there is the Luis Enrique Erro Planetarium, a space that has been in charge of showing the inhabitants of the capital the amazing details of the universe. Regardless of the weather conditions, in this astronomical enclosure you can always see the known stars of our hemisphere, the planets that accompany the sun, the galaxies, the moon and even the black holes that cross the sky every night. This great cosmic space was inaugurated in 1967, after the famous launch of Sputnik in the Soviet Union. The planetarium was an initiative of the National Polytechnic and was the first of its kind to be opened in Mexico. Since its foundation, it has been in charge, through exhibitions and other events, of spreading the knowledge of the universe in an exemplary way. It is the most modern planetarium in Latin America since the main planetarium in Mexico City was renovated and after an investment of 27 million pesos, it was put at the forefront to be at the level of the best in the world. The remodeling of the Luis Enrique Erro consisted, among other things, in the acquisition of a sophisticated projector called Digistar 6. This magical device has the possibility of transmitting images in super high resolution, capable of showing visitors deeply sharp photographs of space, so real that people will feel that they are seeing live as a comet wanders through the vastness. In addition to these important technical improvements, the seats were also changed. Where the spectators can lie down completely to enjoy the experience to the fullest, and why not feel that they are part of the crew of a ship and are embarking on an expedition outside the Earth.
